I think I figured it out...

I had a not-huge-load of homework, but definitely not small either. And yet I have time for a blog post. I didn't go home today. I was picked up by Mrs Stephen, (much to Mr.'s dismay) and taken to her house. Yeah, this is the same Mrs Stephen who helped me with my skirt and the Mr. who gave me a camera card for my phone I couldn't get to work. But he just showed me how to use it, so I cant really get on that anymore. On the other hand, however, I can show you some of the pictures I've been taking for photography class. I got a grade back on  my first entry, by the way. A 3.7.

Wow, I'm really bunny-trailing to night. I was originally going to tell you about how I'm staying at the Stephens over night 'cuz Mom and Dad are on a date. And I had to study for a test with no study guide(which I have always had on tests up to now) just using my notes (SCARY). So I went through and made little flash cards on my three weeks of notes. I thought it would take for ever, but i had them all written and memorized by 6:00. Know why?
Me neither. But I suspect it might be the lack of distractions. And I'm not talking about noise. I feel comfortable with the Stephens, but not comfortable enough to browse the fridge every thirty minutes like I do at home. See where I'm heading? If Mom reads this, my snack life is over. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not constantly hungry. I browse as often as I do because I'm bored. Well, here I had to just keep going. There was nothing else to do. So maybe I do need a Lock on my door, but it needs to be on the outside. My little sisters would have WAY too much fun with that.

Mrs. Stephen quizzed me on the cards I made and apparently I have hard to read hand writing. Not that she complained, but I was watching her strain to read them, and her eyesight isn't THAT bad.
I don't think.
So any way, that was nice to get out of the way. I got my Malawi terms down too. Chikamveka is a stream. It literally means "thing where it is revealed". And Jando is a ritual leader for a manhood ceremony for...guys, obviously. Chikombutso is "second burial". I'm not explaining that one. It's groooooosssss.

So that was today.

Friday night we had a ladies' fellowship night with the theme of 50's. It was FUN! We all dressed up and the ed. building was decorated. Some of us did a soda shop and served Shirley Temples, Roy Rogers, and Green Rivers. Me, Gailyn, Bekah and Emalia got to serve and take orders and all that. Then we had an "I love Lucy" show skit put on. Mrs. Vestal came as a 50's cheerleader (cheerleaders wore clothes back then!) and she did a cheer for Christians. That was totally awesome!

And guess what! It just so happens that Mrs. Stephen video taped it and Mr. Stephen is gonna put it on here for me! So you can see it! And that means I get to watch it again too! From the front :) Sweeeeeeeeeet!
While I'm waiting I will tell you that I turned it my first English paper today. I turned in my first English paper today. There.
I know one of you is going  "hallelujah! She's taking ENGLISH! We wont have to put up with this any more!" Well think again (yeah, I know that needs a coma, but I'm leaving it out just for YOU) 'cus this teacher is super laid back and she isn't teaching us to be perfect.

Ok, let's see if this works...
Wasn't that awesome?! Now. Do you have a kink in your neck, or did you get smart and flip your monitor?
Be thankful,
Sarah
